sorry i haven't talked to you in awhile my main computer with all my email contacts, ect crashed hard. did you get your speed pro harnesses all squared up?

Negative... and I am really starting to get worried.
Last I heard, Roger said that one of the injector harnesses was bad right out of the box, and that he would be getting a replacement in later that afternoon. He would ship them out soon after... within a day or two. This was about a week ago, so we will see.
Up until this point, he says that he has been out of town quite a bit on business and taking care of some family issues... all I can do is cross my fingers and hope he is not stringing me along.

Do me a favor and cross your fingers too.
I would really hate to have to buy TWO Speed Pro harnesses, two MSD RPM activated switches, two GM 3-Bar MAP sensors and of course two OE engine harnesses to rob plugs from.

Jim,

Out of curiosity, what kind of plans do you have for the intake manifold? I assume you'll be doing some sort of p&p, but would you be looking to custom fabbing a straight-runner style manifold, or anything along these lines?

I'm not a big fan of that 90? bend.

I am not excited about the big 90' bend either... however, I want to see how it will work in a stock fashion first... this way, we can get a good idea of what shortcomings exist in the H22A platform. Eventually, I will do some major work on the lower intake manifold.

Actually, the hydrolock was not that bad initially. All that was damaged was the rod in cylinder #1... it was sheared in half cleanly. The real damage occurred after the frantic driver called his "Mechanic" for help... this hill-billy told the boy to crank it up and drive it home !!! So, he starts it up... lets the mechanic hear the terrible rattling of the engine... and this bonehead still says "You will be alright... just drive it gently".
The lower half of the rod remained on the crankshaft... and it flailed around like a wrecking ball until the motor locked up. There are actually FIVE holes in the block: Two on the front side, two more on the backside, and one through the water jacket and sleeve skirt. Once the water jacket was pierced, all of the coolant drained back into the oil pan and began to create a grotesque mess. The engine ran hot... and now it is at my shop getting a new heart.

D-X-Factor, I LOVE this hood!!!!! The fit is way better than I expected. If you get one and decide on using hood locks intead of hood pins be prepared for a little more work..... right Jim? biggrin
